*wheeee* I received an award from cik eita. Sankyuuuu cik eita!

*taking cue from her* Firstly I want to thank cik eita for the award (duh~). Merci dear. Then I wanna say a big thank you to my fandom, for giving me ideas on what to blab / obsess about here: To all my fave footballers & sports-god, keep up the hotness! To my amazing OTPs (slash or not) cos their chemistry and the love they have for each other slays me dead. To my bb Ed, for being so hot and fierce. To Mr Prinsie for his flailing arms which amuses me so. To Gossip Girl for the cheesiness and the awesomeness. To the Harry Potter fandom cos without it I don’t know what I’ll do to survive in this cruel cruel world. To the cuteness that is Schweinski whose adorkableness makes me want to *squeee* like a 14 year old. And finally, merci my darlings for being so awesome. Wooo-hooo! *poyo giler*

Whoopee. Phelps won another gold. I’m so surprise. Not. Did you see the 100m butterfly final? I’m kind of watching the replay right now. He nearlyyyy lost. Cavic (from Serbia) reached the wall ahead of Phelps and I saw his hands touch the wall first. But guess what?? Phelps won. Cos when Cavic touched the wall, he didn’t hit the touch pad with enough force. And Phelps did, even though he touched the wall after Cavic. Well, that’s what the officials said anyway. What a load of crap. Phelps: 50.58 seconds, Cavic: 50.59 seconds. FRAK. I was cheering for Phelps to lose. Arggghh. To make matters worse (lol), Cavic was so gracious afterwards. He took it like a pro. If I were him, I’d be screaming my head off to the officials.

I still can’t get over the fact that Hoogie is really retired. I know I’d “said” goodbye to him in the last entry, but after that I went and browse through my ‘Hoogie’ folder [I forgot how funny and snarky he can be. Love his interviews. His sense of humor just kills me] just because and started feeling all depressed and shit. I’m such a sap. But hey, I’ve been a fan of him since the Sydney ‘00 games so cut me some slack. And without him and Thorpey and their friendly rivalry (I miss Athens ‘04 so much! All the fun and the boyhugging.. *sigh*), the swimming world will never be the same again. I mean there’s Phelps who makes swimming DULL. Seriously, that butterface wins everything. And the commentators were saying like “ZOMG, what a great rivalry between these two men Sullivan and Bernard”. Uhm, NO? Obviously, they know nothing. Fact: The rivalry between Hoogie & Thorpe pwns them. No one can do it like Thoogie, so don’t even bother bitches. The new batch of swimmers just DO NOT have enough substance or personality. They’re mostly a bunch of uninteresting medal winners. BLAH.

OMG. Hoogie hugging his younger brother, Robert (who’s a cutie as well) after the race. Awwww. Truly heartbreaking. He seems so sad. I wanna hug him too. :( Robert is facing the camera btw.

He looked so sad after the race. Yeah cos he didn’t win, but MAYBE it’s cos of the ugly ass full body suit. I know it’s what every swimmer wears these days, cos it can make them go faster, but come on! Show some skin. Strip it off Hoogie! [It was soo good to see him again, but I was disappointed that he wore a full suit instead of being half-naked like usual. lol]

That’s better. Look, he’s happy too. I love his smile *sigh*

I wanna thank Aimee for sharing this with the rest of the Hoogie fans *sob* There I go being all sentimental again.

So anyway, yeay to Nastia and Shawn for winning gold and silver respectively in the all around event. Screw you fetuses!

Fierce!Nastia. And Shawn who is just adorable.

Yeay to Chong Wei for making it to the final! Now go and win us a gold. We.must.believe.

And damn, did you the see the 100m sprint? Bolt is seriously teh.shit. I mean he was so far ahead, he managed to slow down, smile for the cameras and congratulate himself. And he broke the world record!

p/s - forgive me for the million entries about the olympics. I.just.can’t.stop.watching!

j'adore, ♥ of my life, olympicsAugust 14, 2008 @ 11:03 pm

Cescy is out for 2 weeks with a hamstring injury [shinizzle, please make sure he gets better]. Same with Sanderos. And the new kid on the block, Nasri, is injured too. Don’t forget, Rosicky and Eduardo are not fit yet. Currently there are 9 injured players, including them. And the season haven’t even started yet! What the hale? Thankfully Mr-I’m-always-injured Persie is fit. For now. Sheesh. Thank God they won the CL qualifier yesterday. Looks like Gallas is good for something eh?

On another note, what is up with the new ugly ass away kit? Horrendous. I love the white-purple one they used last season. *pouts*

My swimming dolphin didn’t win. :( . To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. But I’m trying to look at the bright side: His timing was awesome, especially in the semi yesterday (47.68). It’s even better than the timing he got when he was in Athens & Sydney (4 & 8 years ago). I know he wouldn’t be able to win the gold, since that cocky Alain Bernard (who broke Hoogie’s 8 year record in March) and Eamon Sullivan (who’s a cutie) were the favorites to win it. And they are still young. Hoogie is the oldest I think in that crowd. I really thought he might be able to get the bronze, but he started late, and the sprint that he did towards the end (like he always do) couldn’t make him catch up with Jason Lezak & that other guy who won the bronze. I really think now that he should participate in the 200m event, in which Phelps won the gold (rather easily I might say). Since in the 100 m event there are like a million up-and-coming younger swimmers ready to push Hoogie off the throne. [Like he said after the event today –> “They’re strong, way too fast. It’s a new generation and now it’s time to step aside. They did a great job. I’m from the generation of Alex Popov, 48.21, you don’t make the final with that time now - and that was a fantastic record”]. But I understand why he wants to enter the 100m event since he wants to be the first swimmer in history to win gold at 3 Olympics in a row. Sadly he didn’t. I miss his glory days (with Thorpe at his side, since they are teh OTP in the swimming scene *hee*). *sigh* He just announced his retirement (following Thorpe’s footsteps) after the event this morning. I’m going to miss seeing him swim *sniff* He will always be awesome in my book. I’m really proud of what he has achieved over the years. His swimming career has been brilliant. Love you Hoogie! [I wonder what he’ll be doing after this? He was a medic student when he first started competing in swimming comp. So maybe he’ll start his new career in the medical field? Oooh, doctor Hoogie. mmmm]

Cheering myself up with a mini-picspam of Hoogie / Thoogie

Cutie Hoogie

*drool* so hot

Thoogie in Athens. They’re so cute! So supportive of each other

Ackk. Helping Thorpey with his zipper. Srsly, they’re sooo meant for each other.

Ok so like Phelps has won a thousand gold medals already and broke a million world records and he still haven’t even finish competing yet! I swear he’s a robot. Damn, that guy is gooood. He is teh shit. And I just realized that he look sooo much better when he’s wearing the swim cap. He’s the ONLY PERSON in the world who looks better with a swim cap on [well, not really since I think Hoogie looks pretty hot with the cap. But Hoogie’s pretty much gorgeous so that doesn’t count]. And you know why? Cos the cap holds his big floppy ears down. lol. I just realized it yesterday when he took off his swimming cap. And he’s pretty cute if he doesn’t smile, cos hello underbite! It’s such a shame really. Cos the body is AMAZING but then, BAM! The face. Haha. Shallow much? Well, he’s a d*ck. So that’s a pretty big turn off right there. And his face doesn’t help either. lol. So anyway, he won the 200m freestyle. He must be glad that Thorpe is retired and Hoogie dropped out of the event. Cos he wouldn’t stand a chance of winning the gold if those two guys are competing in it, like when he only won the bronze in Athens.

Thoogie congratulating each other with a hug after the ‘Race of the Century’. Awww. But look at Phelps. He’s sulking cos he didn’t get the gold. Sore loser. *tamak sungguh*

It has been a pretty great Olympic so far (except when Hoogie lost) since I can drool over men in tight swim wear. *gelak durjana* And not just in swimming either. In gymnastic as well! *gelak durjana version 5* I just discover this gymnast who looks like a cross between Prince Harry and William. Really cute. And he’s really good too.

Ok now. Please tell me, do the chinese gymnast team look like 16/20 year olds to you??? Some of them look like they’re still 9! Damn. Since the rules clearly stated that the gymnast have to be 16 and older, I wonder if they’re lying about their age? Hmmm. Yes, they’re really good. But that’s beside the point. [Maybe I’m just bitter that Shawn, who’s a cutie pie, and Nastia, who is fierce, only won the silver medal in the team event. Pffft]

OMG OMG OMG OMG. Daaaaaaamn. If you don’t want to see your dinner/lunch/breakfast/whatever you’re eating now again, please don’t click this link. Thank God I didn’t see it live. That’s why I always cringe when they’re trying to haul the weight up. Cos I’m so sure something like this would happen. EEEEEEK. Poor guy. The video on youtube has been taken down, but I’m sure someone would upload it again. You can look for it if you want (why though?!?!?).

I’m officially horrified.

Ok, now I’m going to cry in the corner. Cos of oh-so-many reasons.

moi, j'adore, olympicsAugust 6, 2008 @ 12:50 am

I’m really excited for the upcoming Olympic games. Events that I *must* watch –> swimming, gymnastics, synchronized swimming, 100m sprint, diving and my new fave, volleyball. I started to take an interest in volleyball when I accidentally watched the Brazil team (the mens) in the quarterfinal (I think) in Athens. And they were really good. They won the gold and I’m hoping that they’ll win it again this year.

But swimming will always be my fave sport to watch (ever) at the Olympics. I’m looking forward for the 100m and 200m freestyle, the 4x100m freestyle relay and the 4x100m medley relay. And not because the adorable Hoogie (full name: Pieter van den Hoogenband. I LOVE calling him by his full name, but it’s a chore to write it down, so I’ll just use his nick) will be participating in three two of the events (crap. I just found out that he’s not going to be competing for the 200m event. me no likey). Wait. I take that back. He is the main reason I’m watching. Haha. He’s from Netherlands if you can’t tell and he is the king of freestyle (he hold the world record for 100m from 2000 until the beginning of this year). There was rumor going around that he wasn’t going to participate in any event in Beijing cos he’s pushing 30 this year, but thank God that was just a rumor. He won the gold in the 100m freestyle event in Athens and it was nerve wrecking to watch cos he sprint (what’s the term to use for swimming? Anyone?) towards the wall at the last minute. I really thought Schoeman was going to win. Pheww. But Hoogie lost out to Ian Thorpe in the 200m freestyle event. Bummer. At the time, Thorpe kind of annoyed the hell out of me. Maybe cos he was being such an ass toward Michael Phelps, whom I loved back then (Phelps is kind of uhh.. how you say.. oh, ok .. not in your face pretty. BUT you.can’t.ignore.TEH.body. Guhh. Don’t like him anymore though since I found out that he is such a douchebag prick in real life. Yes, he’s amazingly good.. but I dunno, he does nothing for me now). Back to Thorpe, I remember thinking that he must be really jealous of Phelps in Athens.. cos yeah he’s getting a lil’ bit older. And Phelps is what? 19 back then? And Phelps was the media darling then (and now still) and Thorpe is getting left behind. But I found out then that he’s really chummy with Hoogie, so that made me like him a lil’ bit. They’re kind of my swimming OTP. Hee.

Thoogie

I love love love the 4x100 Freestyle relay at the last Olympics. Although the Netherlands only won the silver, Hoogie was awesome. He overtook three swimmers, including Thorpe, (and he was more than a body length behind one of them when he dived into the pool!) and his time (46.79!!!!) was the fastest split in history. Damn. Just when the Americans thought they have the silver medal in the bag, the Netherlands stole it from them, all because of Hoogie. lol [In the vid, he’s the last swimmer to swim for his team and is in the 6th lane from the top]. But overall the South Africans were better. They shocked everyone including me. So freaking fast.

My darlings and I spent the weekend together. On Saturday we went to jalan TAR to search for the attire to wear to our convocation (mine and shinizzle’s). It was freaking hot, and my feet was SORE after all the shopping and walking around. Merci darlings for your helpful!opinions. And muahkss to n3lldeco for all the help with the sparkly thingy (what’s it called??)

Then on Sunday we went to Taman Botani to have a mini-picnic. Thought of going cycling too, but dammit.. we didn’t get to do it cos of those damn school kids. *pouts* The weather was nice and everything (considering it was really hot and humid the day before). :( Bummer. The picnic was a lot of fun though. Had a good laugh and took a lot of photos (and had a yummy “mee-goreng”, thanks to n3lldeco!).

My dad just got back from Japan on Monday night (he had to present a paper there) and he brought back a lot of goodies for us *wheee*

[will post pics of the goodies later since my brother has it and haven’t uploaded it yet. Shite. I srsly need to buy a digicam. Anyone wants to sponsor poor ol’ me?]
