Spend yesterday with my darlings. Finally! First stop, Noodle Station! *whee* Finally had a chance to eat there. The food was yummy and my purpose in life now is to try every single drink they offer. MUAHAHAHA. Srsly.

Then we went to watch Madagascar 2. It was a lot of fun. The penguins were HI-larious. I love love Private. He is so cute with his british accent. Heee! And when Alex was twirling around dancing with his dad, doing the butterfly dance (?), I kept imagining Captain Cescy twirling around too. EL-OH-EL. Oh don’t tell me he wouldn’t do it if he was all alone in his house.. with ABBA in the background. Hahahaha.

And after that, shinizzle and n3lldeco dragged me to watch Twilight. It was…. ok I guess. I’m not that keen to watch it in the first place cos Cedric aka Edward aka Robert bug the hell out of me. I’m not sure why. Hmmm. And that’s the reason why I’m not interested in the series.. But the Cullens were pretty cool. And gorgeous. And the baseball scene was pretty awesome. Anyhoo, had a great day with the girls. Laugh A LOT (like always). Miss you guys so much! =(

I’ve seen The Dark Knight twice already. Only cos I want to see the Joker. lol. And it was worth it. He made the movie awesome, IMO. He completely overshadowed Batman.

Um so… spoiler ahead.

LOVED: [1] All the Joker’s scenes — His stories of how he got his scars, his pencil “trick”, the nurse outfit (lol), when he skipped out of the hospital, when he first entered the room laughing, the way he tilt his head, when he was in the lorry shooting at the van carrying Dent [oh so cool], etc. [2] When Bruce came in with all the girls to the fund raiser and started his speech for Dent. [3] The way Bruce was jealous in the restaurant scene and he got all highty mighty. [4] The Rachel / Dent hostage scenes. I thought that was kind of cool. [5] The ferry hostage scene. [6] The way Batman got all furious with the Joker in the interrogation room. [7] The van / lorry chase scene. [8] When it was revealed that Gordon was in fact alive.

HATED: [1] Batman’s stupid voice. Before you get all pissy with me, I totally understand that Bruce changes his voice to conceal his identity. I just think that he was kind of overdoing it. It makes sense to disguise it, but it’s just TOO MUCH. It’s kind of distracting. [2] When Joker made the “You’re so beautiful” comment to Rachel. I felt bad for her for like a few nanoseconds (cos he was taunting her with his knife / razor) and then remembered that she is in fact NOT beautiful enough for Bruce fuckin’ Wayne or Harvey Dent [I had to laugh.. cos COME ON! It’s Bale! I do not believe for one second that someone who looks like Christian Bale, who’s also a billionaire, and Aaron Eckhart would fight over someone who looks like Maggie Gyllenhaal. Yes, I’m really shallow. Do you want to make something of it?]. After I remembered that, the ‘beautiful’ comment made me cringe. And it didn’t help that Joker kept repeating it.

OTHER NITPICKS: [1] There were way too many plot holes. It kind of lost its pace a few times. [2] Why didn’t they handcuffed the Joker when they were trying to save Dent & Rachel? Huh? Fools. [3] I felt that Gyllenhaal overplayed her part. Not that Katie is that good of an actress (cos she is not), but I thought she was kind of perfect for Rachel. And she’s kind of pretty. And Maggie? Is just average. Her acting ability did NOT “cancel” out her average look. Ya know? No? Ok, then. [4] The phone in that guy’s stomach. Eww. And it still works? WTH.

So I guess that’s it. Rant aside, I do think the movie was kind of awesome. It’s far from perfect, but it’s very enjoyable. So what are you waiting for? Go and see it.

And finally, it can’t be said enough.. “Why so SERIOUS?”

I’m addicted to photoshop! Since I’ve been aware of the existence of image randomizer (thanks darling), I’ve been editing & making blog headers. And I can’t stop (help!) See my header image above.. the result of my novice photoshop skills (note: refresh to see a different header. disclaimer: although I wish it was mine, the harry potter artwork are done by the talented Marta @ ArtDungeon. I just edited them to bring out the colors and to place text on it). Do forgive me for the crappy and badly edited images. Cos hey, I’m still trying to figure out how to use this damn thing. And may I note (complain) that cutting up images is a freaking-tear-out-your-hair chore? Damn. I have a lot of respect for those who can come up with amazingly gorgeous artwork. Give me two years to practice and I probably won’t even be half as good as them.*pouts*

[mini movie reviews]

Wanted

Went to watch this with shinizzle. At first we wanted to watch Hancock, but seeing as that movie received a lot of bad reviews.. we decided to watch this instead (even though I can’t really stand Jolie). It was pretty good. Except for the confusing part near the beginning (or am I alone in this?). The twist was clever, cos I didn’t expect it at all (I can usually spot a plot twist a mile away).. or maybe I was really *blur* that day. The gruesome scenes were too icky so I just closed my eyes (there goes my secret). James McAvoy is totally cute. Especially when he smiles (adorable). And Jolie didn’t bug me as much (she’s skinny or what?). BUT the slow-mo parts were cringe-worthy (I may be alone in this as well). I don’t mind if there are a few parts here and there… but it was all.the.freaking.time! Stop it already.

ETA:

I’m a dumbass or what? How can I not see it? This movie is exactly (well, for the first part mostly) the same as Fight Club (one of the greatest movies ever made, IMO)! That’s why I was all confused and was like “Hmmm, where have I seen this before??“

I mean, here’s this guy who is soo freakin’ bored and downright suffocated at his meaningless job. And he hates his boss. One guy has isomnia, and the other one suffers from anxiety attacks. And at the beginning of the movie, they both explain (first person narrative) how meaningless and insignificant their life is. Can you see the pattern here? But of course my bb Ed’s voice is so fuckin’ sexy (lisp and all) and he had the inflections of the words down just right, so his narration in FC is just *sigh*. Mcavoy didn’t do too bad.. but he’s scottish, so his accent is just a lil’ off. [And the narration is this movie seems like a cheap FC knock-off. Ya know? It’s like, get your own ideas! Jeez.]

And one last thing. Both movies used rocking Nine Inch Nail songs for their soundtrack.

Hellboy 2 - The Golden Army

shinizzle really wanted to watch this, so I say, why not? It has been a looooonng time since the first Hellboy was released.. I can’t even seem to remember what the hell happened in that movie. This sequel was quite good. I love the humor. Abe Sapien is just too cute *loves*. And that guy who looks like Lucius Malfoy, lets call him Lucius v2.0.. wow, he has a way with swords doesn’t he? And I love the fact that Hellboy loves cats. Hee.

Hancock

Yeah, really wanted to watch this ever since the trailer was released. It seems that they put all the good scenes in the trailer (which is why I was so damn intrigued in the first place). It was pretty bad. And even Bateman (whom I love from AD) can’t save this movie from falling to the crappy territory. But since Will Smith is the star, of course it’s doing well in the box office. Cos he can bring people to the cinema yo [even if his movie sucks donkey ass].

The Dark Night

I know, this isn’t out yet. But I just want to comment about Maggie (Gyllenhaal) who’s playing Rachel Dawes (who isn’t even canon). I haven’t seen her previous work, so I don’t know if she’s a good actress or not.. but really? Her as Bale’s romantic interest? Pretty Bale? Can she even measure up to him in the looks department? I know it’s shallow.. but yeah, I want to see a pretty actress working alongside Bale dammit. She’s ok looking (shall I say, normal like us?).. definitely not in your face pretty. IMO of course. Don’t judge me. I definitely prefer to watch not-so-pretty actors / actresses who can act rather than a pretty face who can’t act out of a paper bag.. see Emma Watson, Orlando Bloom, Vanessa Hudgens, Hayden Christensen, Wentworth Miller (yes, he can’t act.. stop telling yourself he can), Chace Crawford, that cute guy from OTH.. and no, not douche!Chad, although he can’t act either, but he’s such a dickwad, I refuse to find him cute. And many more. But what about the combination of the two? Or is that too hard to ask for? [Or maybe I’m just bitter that Rachel McAdams didn’t take this role. ] Anyway, Bale is too pretty and talented.. so maybe it’s just too fuckin’ hard to find an actress who is on the same level as him? Damn you Bale. But it’s too soon to judge Maggie. We’ll see if she can really act or not.

I’m not sure why I’m complaining. Heck, I’m only watching cos of the Joker.

The HP prequel has been posted online! Go here and select ‘read our authors stories’ and then click on J.K. Rowling. Not gonna lie, it took me forever to read her handwriting. lol. But it was worth it. The only complain I have is that I want to read more! Damn JK and her crack writing.

But lol at “from the prequel i am not working on.” Oh please to all that is holy, give me a full prequel novel JK. I’ll do anything! Love, me.

Seriously, how cute is the friendship between my bb Sirius and James? And lol at the mysterious men flying on the broomsticks. Someone got bitch slapped with a police car. Hah! Speaking of Sirius, JK has wrote many times stating that he is a good looking guy. But how come in the last movie, that guy they cast as young Sirius is horrendously and freakishly ugly??! Who cares if he doesn’t have a line. If it was me, I’d cast Ben Barnes from Narnia.

WHAT KIND OF FUCKERY IS THIS??!!

Arrgghh… dem, dem, dem. I am seriously pissed. They rely too much on Poldi. And now, they’re going to face Portugal in the QF (I’m assuming Germany will be the runner up in their group.. If not, well bye bye to them huh? Fuck). And what’s more, Schweinsteiger (what a name) aka Schweini got the first red card in the competition. Well done. Ugh. I need to get to sleep. I’m depressed. Just got back from Cyber. Went to MMU first thing in the morning with mah boo, miss Sha, to settle some stuff. And later we went to watch the Incredible Hulk. Acckkk! My bb Ed was soo good in it (as expected). And so hot, in a nerdy kind of way. I love him. Love love him. I really feel his longing for Betty (ahh, to be Liv). Liv! My current girl-crush, after watching the unscripted interview between her, Ed and the director. She is such a sweetheart. And she’s so funny too. And it really shows that they had fun working with each other. Ed was adorable. I love how he avoids the plane question and how he admits he is a sugar addict. Me too Ed! Hee!

Back to the movie. The CGI was better than I expected. Even though I was excited to see Ed on the big screen, I was kind of dreading the special effects. But it was quite cool. Yeah, what do you expect? They have to use CGI. If not, they’ll need a guy who looks like Ed, with a body like a body builder. And the body builder needs to either be painted green or put on a dumb suit like that guy did in X Men 3. And oh yeah, he needs to smash things. Ugh. DO NOT WANT. Yeah, I’m being bias.. so haters to the left. The end.

p/s - will be going back to Cyber again in a little while. Going to have a sleepover at my other boo’s house, miss Ayu. And going to watch tonight’s game at Equine Park’s McD. Yee-haw! Toodles~
