Went to watch the game without any expectation. So that it won’t hurt as much if they lost. But yeah, it still hurts.

A better team won though (except for the occasional diving *uhuk*). Spain outplayed Germany. They were quicker and damn, Torres was just dangerous. But I was expecting more goals actually.

Overall Spain deserves the victory based on the way they were playing last night and during the competition. And Germany*sigh*.. I admit, they were just.. there. Yes they produced results at the end of every game (sans the game with Croatia) before the final. But the way they were playing disappoints me (except for the game against Poland and Portugal). But dammit! I can’t really hate them. EVER. Even if they make me want to jump off the Empire State building all the fuckin’ time (looking at you too Arsenal).

Poor Ballack. His eyes! Ouch. Poldi makes me smile when he winked at Xabi after the game *loves*. But then Schweini broke my heart.. He was looking so sad, sitting on the pitch all by himself. =(

Anyway, I’m cheering myself up with a picspam of my fave bff.

I’m happy that Germany made it through. Really I am. But I did NOT think they deserve to win that game. I really don’t. Turkey played SO MUCH better for a team with only 14 or so players (and most of the first team regulars were injured). They created more chances, worked really hard but luck was not on their side. Although I’m happy that my team won, I’m a bit embrassed that they won with such a crappy performance. Where is the team that played against Portugal? Ok, you guys must think I’m such a debbie downer. And I should be grateful that they made it to the final bla bla fruitcakes bla bla. But in my defence, I like to criticize teams that I love. Just ask Arsenal (whom I’ve cursed many times, on a daily basis).

Yeah the result at the end is what matters the most. But I also want to see them play good football. And win a match because they deserve to, not JUST because of luck. If they keep this up in the final (12 hours from now *gulp*), trust me, they’ll get hammered mercilessly by Spain. And I so DO NOT want to see that.

So yeah, honestly I really think that Turkey deserved this more. BUT my love for Germany is just too much and I can’t stop myself from being a tiny tiny bit happy and relieved (I was hugging my tv when Schweini leveled the score. lol). I just hope they won’t let me down again. Good luck to both teams! I’ll be quite content if Spain wins cos their performances have been amazing, but yeah, I really hope it’s my team. Cos I want to see Poldi and Schweini being all crazy and shit.

Schweini is a big goofball

p/s - Poldi conducting the audience was sort of awesome.

p/p/s - Frak. Ballack might not be playing in the final. Ack.

Ack. I’m scared. Even though some of the Turkey’s players are injured and all that. But anything can happen right? It is football. And look at what they did to Croatia at the last minute. Damn, I feel sick.

[shinizzle, you wouldn’t want to read the rest of this paragraph. Or the paragraph after this. For your own piece of mind] So anyway, I definitely did not expect the Russians to win the QF 3 game. I was sure the Hollands could trash them, seeing as they produced amazing performances for the last 3 matches. Never underestimate any team again huh? Although, I haven’t watch any of the Russians’ matches in this comp.. so I was surprised. But not really, since Hiddink in my humble opinion is one of the top class manager. He is arguably one of the best, since every national team he coaches (some of them are just not that good before he came into the picture) AT LEAST gets to play in the QF in WC and Euro [Even though I’m still furious with the game between Spain and South Korea in WC 02. I was supporting Spain back then, after Germany of course, since Morientes was in it. The game was so fuckin’ unfair. And what else, the referee disallowed two of Morientes’ goals! Two! FU. Yeah, I need to get over it]. So it’s no surprise that the Russians gets to qualify for the SF.

Hmm, it would be interesting to see him coaching the big clubs like Portugal, Netherlands (again), France or even Germany. Maybe he’d have a chance to win some trophies. Maybe. On second thought, what about England? Can he make them achieve something? Or not, since the egos in that team are OUT OF CONTROL.

Enough bout Euro. I’ve been listening to Chris Brown’s With You on a loop for the past few days. Cheesy I know. Anyway, I remember when my darlings were talking about this song the last last time we went out. Something about how that guy who was in AI (who didn’t win, David A right?) sang this song for the finale. And how it was unrecognizable. And how white guys can’t possibly make this song sound good or something like that. But I found this clip on yt by this little guy called Justin. He sounds quite good IMO. Although, if you were to listen repeatedly (like I did), he sounds a bit like a girl. lol. He seems like a douche in the making though. But he’s only 13 (or 12?) so maybe I will be proven wrong. But puberty will be a bitch. To his voice I mean. lol.

FUCK. YEAH

The result has left me speechless. Honestly, I didn’t expect them to beat Portugal. Really. I mean, look at their performance during the last two games. I was expecting Portugal to trash them in every way possible. And I was ready to be embarrassed.

But during the beginning of the match, the Portugal team were having trouble finding their rhythm. And Germany took advantage of that. The first goal left me dumbfounded. Right before the second goal, I was asking my boo, where the hell was Klose? Was he sleeping again? And out of the blue, he scored a goal. lol. I should ask the question more often.

My fave bestie

Portugal didn’t give up though. When they scored the second goal, I was like oh-fuck. Damn those Germans. All they had to do was defend. Is that so fuckin’ hard? Gawd. I felt like smashing things, hulk-style. But yeah, I am really really really happy with the result. Though, a little bit surprised too. Who cares? They’re in the Semi final! Yeee-haw! [And now I’m dreading the match between them and Croatia *gulp* or those darn Turkey]

Truthfully though, Germany surprises me with their performance during this match. If you ask me, I was expecting Portugal to win big. And I was ready for that. I didn’t have any expectations. At all (but I was still a lil bit nervous though). That’s why when they were leading with the scores, I was soooo afraid that at the end Portugal will get even and trash them back. Cos damn, the 2 early goals and Ballack’s wonderful header, gave me a lil bit of hope, even though I was all out of it before the match. And hope my friend, is a wonderful thing to have. But it can be a bitch too. Cos imagine IF after they had worked their ass off scoring the 3 goals, Portugal would then leveled the score, and kick their behind and win the match. That would be CRUEL. And that scenario would be much much much worse than let’s say, Portugal trashing them with a scoreline 5-0. Yeah, for me anyway.

The match has left me emotionally and physically drained, big time. I don’t know how I can watch another one of their match. Expect me to have a heart attack during the semifinal.

Last Friday night/Saturday morning I went to watch Romania vs Italy and Netherlands vs France games with my boos. It was quite an experience. We were surrounded by (loud!) groups of guys. There were only a handful of girls including us. But it was quite fun. Although I was blardy tired since I only had 3 hours of sleep the night before. And then during the day I went to MMU and then to Alamanda. Then went back to Subang to get some stuffs and then back to Cyber again. Felt like sleeping right there and then. But when the match came on I was wide awake (the coffee may have something to do with it). Especially during the second game between those ugly-kit-loving players and one-man-team-Ribery, which was quite enjoyable if I do say so myself.

The Netherlands seems like a new team (but with the same players). I loved Robben’s goal which was amazing. How did he score from that tight angle? (Although I shouldn’t be surprise since I’ve watched him score a goal like that plenty of times before, when he was playing for Chelsea.) And it was also amazing because of his cheeky reaction and because it was scored only a minute after Henry ’scored’ his goal. lol. On another note, I can’t wait to see how Romania will play against them. Gawd, it’d be funny to see them struggling to find the ball since the Romanians are so fuckin’ slow.

No. I am not turning my back on Germany. I just enjoy watching the way the Netherlands are playing, which is a shock since they suck a few years ago. And it’s nice seeing Van der Vaart playing again, since getting injured is his favorite pastimes. lol.

I have commented on my boo’s (shinizzle) blog, predicting that the final will be between Netherlands and Portugal. I’ve yet to see Portugal play, but looking at the score sheets, they are one of the teams to beat. And seeing as the first QF will be between Portugal and Germany (I’m hoping it’s them), I don’t know how Germany will survive that game. Hopefully they’ll trash Portugal. Doubtful though.

Yeah, I’m pessimistic person. Sue me. (I blame the pundits for getting my hopes up about the chances of Germany winning this year. I had doubts about them since mister Klinsmann declined the offer to coach for them after the World Cup. So, boo pundits!)

On a happy note, we collected 7 free fries coupons. Free food! What’s not to like?
