I don’t know what is up with all the hype for Miley Cyrus. I mean, she can’t act. She can’t sing. IMO, she’s successful without all those going for her cos her dad is famous. If it was another kid without all the connection, I don’t think they’ll make it through the door of an audition. And gawd, I hate her voice. It’s like she’s been smoking all her life. I don’t know what she’ll sound like when she smokes in the future…cos you know she will. But anyway, little girls (and boys) love her. Look up to her. And have you seen the magazine cover she did for Vanity Fair? lol. Artistic eh? “Classy” indeed. Add the controversial “artistic” cover to all the ’skanky’ Myspace pictures that had been leaked out. Does that equal to a good role model for little girls who looked up to her? God help us all. But, what do I know? She’s a millionaire. And she’s 15. Bitch.

Cute!

OMG. Isn’t she adorable? I can’t stand it. I love this little girl. I want one just like her. If you must know, the pics were taken during a football… oops, soccer game that the Cruise clan went to. Oh yeah, Beckham was playing. I think the noises were too loud for little Suri. Awww. I can’t get enough of her. Even if her dad is Tom Cruise. I mean, he’s alright. Except for the Scientology part. lol. And Katie looks non-cute these days. But I love that she and Suri have the same haircut. OMG, I just hope that Suri wouldn’t turn out to be like Miley.. or like those other skanky girls who have famous parents.

Or I’ll cut a bitch.

GG came back with a bang after the strike. Loved the episode. But my poor B had to go through all the drama when she came back to school. Who the hell does Little J thinks she is?! And asshole-Nate with his “You’ve got good aim” to little J. WTF. Chuck did looked pissed when the people at school were making fun of my poor B. That was the only good thing about that scene. And he looked hot too.

How dare they make fun of the Queen B! (erm, ex-Queen B. But whatever)

B’s back to being a bitch in this episode, which she needs to be, to get back to being the Queen B again and to shove miss social climber Little J off her high horse. Loved her scheme which contains persuading Rufus (Little J and Dan’s boring dad) to have Little J’s birthday party at their little house in Brooklyn. lol. Imagine the awkwardness! The UES snobby girls in Brooklyn! And that’s not all, Little J just had to steal Hazel’s (one of the clique girls) mom’s dress which is about a bajillion dollars worth just so that she could swap it for another dress that she wants. Oh honey, you never learned huh? After all the drama of getting the dress back (cos it’s stealing yo), and to have her wear the dress underneath her coat so that she could take it back without the store owner knowing.. there’s another drama of her being discovered to be the one who stole the dress. By her clique. At the party Blair held for Little J. Inside Little J’s Brooklyn house. lol. It doesn’t get any better than that.

But all was forgiven when Little J brought asshole-Nate (who one of the girls has a crush on) to dinner. Just when we thought B is back on top. Little J is so conniving. Whore.

I’ve been watching my Clueless dvd again (if you can’t tell by the title. lol). So much awesomeness in one movie. *sigh* Sometimes, I miss the 90s.. you know what I mean? I just found out that it was actually based (*loosely*) on Jane Austen’s Emma. *surprised* Then I went around looking for the movie adaptation of the book and found two. One starring Gwyneth Paltrow and the other starring Kate Beckinsale. And seeing as I can’t stand Gwyneth (don’t ask me why), I watched Kate’s version. She looked so different! It was filmed in 1996 mind you. But did she do something to her face nowadays? Maybe she just looked younger then. And her hair is all weird. Nowadays, she looks gorgeous. So anyway, the movie was good. I’ve never read the book. But I’ve read one summary of the book on the net, which was very detailed. The movie followed closely to the book, except that it felt too rushed. All the story lines were being told in less than 2 hours. But I enjoyed it. Say what you want about Kate Beckinsale, but I love her acting. Sure, she’s not as good as other actresses.. but there’s something about her that makes me want to watch her on screen. I love the way she talks! Especially in ‘Serendipity’. She’s just so charming. And her husband is hot. lol.

Another actress that I love watching is Drew Barrymore. She’s so good at making romantic-comedy or just plain romantic movies. Never Been Kissed, Ever After, The Wedding Singer.. I especially love NBK. She’s just so cute and charming. And her heartbreaking story made me cry (shut up). I love fluffy movies. Sometimes I think we need to watch movies that doesn’t require us to really think. lol. It’s just fun. And of course, I love Rachel McAdams. My fave actress ever. Regina’s bitchiness ftw! And her character in Wedding Crashers is the sweetest thing ever. Owen Wilson and her have great chemistry. On another note, I was quite sad that Rachel and Ryan Gosling have broken up. They were so cute together. :( Anyway, I’m quite excited to see her latest movies that she has done - The Time Traveler’s Wife, with Eric Bana (drool) and State of Play, with Russel Crowe, Helen Mirren, Jason Bateman and Ben Affleck. May I say that I was very disappointed that my beautiful baby, Edward fucking Norton and Brad Pitt backed out of this project cos of scheduling problem? Not only it means that there’ll be no Fight Club reunion. But also, I wouldn’t get to see two of my fave actors ever (Ed and Rachel) working together in the same movie! *arghhh* *pulls out hair* So close. I was soooo excited *sob*

I think I’ll go cry in the corner now.

I can’t wait for the new Incredible Hulk movie to come out. Cos my baby Edward Norton is starring in it! Even though I don’t really like movies based on comic books, I’m sure it’d be awesome. If not, we can be sure Ed will give his 120% in the acting department like he always does. Even if the movie suck so hard it makes you want to hurt puppies and push old people into oncoming traffic, I’ll still go and watch it because of him. Why do I love him as an actor? He’s compelling. He has charisma and intellect. And most of all cos of his versatility. He can take on any role and sells it. He becomes the character. When I watch his movies, I don’t watch Edward Norton acting the part. He is the part. If you know what I mean. His tone of voice, his delivery and his accents are just perfect. I think he’s easily one of the great actors of our time.

I had time to kill last weekend and had a movie marathon (Ed’s movies of course) - Fight Club, American History X, Primal Fear, The Painted Veal, Death to Smoochy. *sigh* It was heaven (even though I’ve seen them plenty of times already). I can’t say it enough, he was soooo good in all those movies. Especially American History X and Primal Fear, for which he got nominated for an Oscar, for his role in both of them. I *can’t* believe Cuba Gooding Jr. won that year! That was supposed to be Ed’s Oscar (Primal Fear’s nomination)! It was his first role in a movie and he blown everyone’s mind off with his performance. That was some good shit. The storyline is kind of ok, I mean you know how it is with Richard Gere’s movies. lol. But Ed’s performance in that movie was just.. amazing. He could be a vulnerable-sweet-stuttering boy one minute and then turned to psychopath-raging-lunatic a minute later. Good stuff.

I think American History X is one of the greatest movie of all time. It’s just so powerful and emotional. And of course Ed’s performance as a supremacist and a neo-nazi gang member was phenomenal. And he was hottt. He buffed his body up for the part. On a another note, the rape scene made me cry. And I couldn’t watch it. But it still haunts me. And in the scene after he was raped, Derek broke my heart.

Looking sexy as hell

Fight Club will always have a special place in my heart. Cos it was the first movie of Ed that I watched that made me fall in love with him. He was so confused and vulnerable. *loves* He and Brad have great chemistry. But I could not watch the scene where The Narrator beat the living shit out of Jared Leto. OUCH. I tried to skip all the fight scenes actually. lol. But the best scene in the movie is when The Narrator beat himself up in his boss’ office, hands down. lol. SUPERB acting.

It’s funny to think about the fact that I HATED his character in Italian Job. lol. I watched the movie a long time ago. I didn’t know who Edward Norton was *tsk* *the shame!* All I know is that the villain guy (his character - Steve is it?) is annoying as fuck. lol. He was supposed to be that way anyway. So see? He does sell the character. :) I did found out that he actually didn’t want to do that movie. He was forced to do it cos of some contract thingy. He signed on for a three-movie-deal, when he got cast in Primal Fear. So the studio kept sending him scripts but he kept rejecting them, cos he wasn’t happy with it. In the end he wanted the role of the villain in the MI3. But no, the studio didn’t agree. So FINALLY, they sent him the script for Italian Job and told him to do it or else (pay A LOOOTT of cash). So grudgingly he played the part. But he wasn’t happy. Can you blame him? The writing for the character was so one-dimensional. But he did do a good job though. He succeeded in making me hate Steve with a passion. *Sorry Ed. I still love you*

Wow.. I can go on and on talking about him. Better stop now before I write a 1000 word essay about his life. lol. Toodles~

gossip girlApril 6, 2008 @ 3:14 pm

Believe it or not, the writers’ strike is finally over (yay!) BUT I still haven’t even finished watching the episodes that came out before the strike even began! lol. Except for Gossip Girl’s episodes. Of course. Cos that’s my new addiction. I don’t care if it’s soap opera-ish. Don’t care if it’s sooo bad that it makes you want to gouge your eyes out. Don’t care if most of the actors can’t act and the story lines are out-of-your-mind-crazy and stupid. Who cares? The clothes and accessories are drool-worthy. And the show introduced me to the amazingness of Leighton Meester aka Blair freakin’ Waldorf and Ed Westwick aka Chuck Bass. They’re the only young actors from the show who can really act. When they’re on the screen, I can’t take my eyes off them. They’re so amazing that I am OBSESSED with them. Especially Blair. I adore her. She’s fabulous and a bitch and I love it. She’s my new girl-crush x 1000. And the insane chemistry between B and C. *sigh* So hot. To me, GG = Blair and Blair + Chuck. Period.

I’m going to tell you all about GG now (cos I’m bored) for those of you who haven’t watch it yet (where have you been?!). For those who don’t wanna know the spoilers or just plain don’t wanna know, don’t read on. Anyway, the show is all about these privileged upper east side kids in New York. Filthy rich and gorgeous. Yeah, it’s not fair. Created by Josh Schwartz, based on the books by the same name (but it doesn’t follow the book, except for the pilot episode). Josh is the guy who created The O.C (which I’ve never watched. Yeah, yeah.. But Mischa-bot is enough reason for me not to watch it. Blech.)

There’s this voice over and she (he?) called her/him self ‘Gossip Girl’. So like she/he knows everything that’s been happening..all the latest gossips. So anyway, at first this show mainly focus on this popular girl called Serena, who’s supposed to be gorgeous and breathtaking and whatnot.. but personally I don’t see it. Blake (the girl who plays Serena) is just pretty. Not that gorgeous. But whatever. So she like went to boarding school to get away from it all, and this problem she tries to get away from is the fact that she slept with her best friend’s boyfriend, who is also her close friend. And that’s not all. He was still a virgin before that *gasp* *scandalous!* I know, right? Serena’s like this wild girl, who’s like so oblivious to everyone and everything around her, but everything always work out for her in the end.. even when she doesn’t do anything at all. Much to the disdain of her best friend, who we’re introduced to as Blair Waldorf, the amazing Queen B of the upper east side. Blair is perfect to me..but of course she doesn’t see that. Anyway, Serena came back cos of important matters. Cat fight between S and B. B humiliated her in front of the ivy league crowd. And that’s when we know that S actually came back cos her lil bro was depressed (he tried to kill himself). B and S made up with B reading this heartfelt letter to S, the letter that she didn’t send when S went away. So sad. The letter basically talks about the fact that B misses S and why S didn’t say anything to her about why she wants to go to boarding school and left her all alone in the UES.

Being all hot and sexy.

So anyway, B and S went back to being besties again. But Nate, Blair’s jackass boyfriend, is still obsessing over Serena (fool). S met judgmental-Dan (no, that’s not his full name), this average middle class guy. He went to their private school cos he’s on a scholarship. He’s not that poor, but to the them..he’s like from the lower class or something. He’s from Brooklyn y’all. So D like S, asked her out..bla, bla, bla.. Gawd, their storyline almost always puts me to sleep. They’re like this bouncy-bouncy happy I-love-you-always couple. So no drama. Correction: there’s drama. But I chose to ignore it, cos it’s like what’s the use? Anyway, Blair’s storyline consist of her trying to get Nate to sleep with her (and I don’t know why), making Little J (Dan’s lil sister) do her bidding and being all hot and awesome and fierce with Chuck, who’s the resident bad boy in the show.

Blair and Nate broke up a few times cos Nate’s a jerk. And Nate made up with her again cos his dad asked him to (he doesn’t want to lose the business deal that he has with Blair’s mom). I told you he’s an ass. So Blair held this masquerade party right? They had to wear masks and stuff. And guess what? Nate accidentally kisses Little J cos he thought she was Serena (asshole.. Btw, I’m tired of saying that every time he acts like one.. how does asshole-Nate sounds?). Anyway, Little J told Blair (poor baby). Blair confronts him and asked if he loves her. Asshole-Nate didn’t answer. So she broke up with him (Yeah!) and went to a burlesque club (owned by Chuck). There she met Chuck. She was sad, so she danced flirtatiously on the stage. Chuck was mesmerized by her cos he has never seen this side of her before. And you can see that he started falling for her right there and then. So at the end, they were making out in the back of his limo (HOT!). And she loses her virginity to him *gasp*. So this is the start of their beautiful-hot-secret-relationship.

Blair looking FABULOUS. She looks bored with Nate. Who wouldn’t?

Hmm.. Never thought it would be this long. So this is the shorter version for what happens next -> B regret it cos C’s a playboy. C tries to woo (lol) her cos he’s falling for her. Hard. A-N wants to get back together (?!). She was ecstatic. At her 17th birthday party, A-N forgot to/didn’t wish her happy birthday (ikr? Ass). She’s depressed. C consoled her and gave her this beautiful diamond necklace (amazing scene!) They started their secret romance. A-N notices that B looks different, happy (cos of C of course but he A-N doesn’t know that). And he tries to get her back, cos she seems different (Gawd! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!). So long story short. B goes back to A-N cos she doesn’t trust C (he tried to made this plan to make A-N beat up this Carter guy cos A-N thought Carter was seeing B when they were broken up. Cos he was jealous (?!). I don’t get it. I thought he doesn’t love her anymore? Anyway, C’s plan backfires. Blair found out about it and thought he was playing around with her). C is heartbroken. *sob* B’s back with A-N. C gets jealous. B flaunt their relationship in front of C. C gets mad and told GG about the making-out-in-the-limo. GG told everyone. Of course. A-N doesn’t believe it. Miss social climber, Little J confirms it cos she heard S telling Dan about it (I am so mad about this). And also cos she wants to take B’s place at the top of the social circle. As if.

So that started the downward spiral of B. A-N broke up with her. Her clique didn’t want her anymore. So then she went to C. But surprise, C doesn’t want her too. And he said some pretty awful things to her face. This scene made my heart ache. The look on B’s face.*sob* So then she can’t take it anymore. And she wants to go to France for one semester and stays with her dad. But in the end, S stops her from going. She wants them to fight this together. So right before the strike started (when the writers had stopped writing new episodes), this is the last scene that we were left with. All of us (GG fans) wants to see B destroys everyone’s lives after this, especially Little J, her number one nemesis. Cos she’s the Queen B after all. And her place is at the top. IJAF.
